Home Survey
- The process begins with a comprehensive home survey. A Mobility123 specialist visits the home to assess the physical layout and structural details. This helps determine the type of lift suitable for the home, the ideal location for installation, and any construction modifications required.
- The specialist also discusses the permit requirements for the project, providing the homeowner with a clear understanding of the legal aspects involved. An estimate of the total cost of work, including equipment, installation, and any construction work, is provided at this stage.
Contract Signing and Deposit Payment
- Once the homeowner agrees to the proposed plan, the contract is signed and the deposit is paid. This marks the official commencement of the project.
- Simultaneously, Mobility123 earmarks the required Stiltz homelift equipment with the manufacturer, ensuring that the necessary equipment is reserved and ready for delivery when needed.
Permitting Process
- The permitting process is initiated, which involves preparing and submitting detailed elevator plans for DCA approval. Our in-house experts, with their extensive knowledge of the process, ensure that all necessary details are accurately represented to expedite approval.
- Once the DCA approval is obtained, the permit application is forwarded to the local municipality. This includes both building and electric technical sections, ensuring all aspects of the project comply with local regulations.
Commencement of Work
- Upon receiving the necessary permits, the construction phase begins. This involves site-preparation tasks such as floor penetration, framing of ceiling/floor, and blocking at level for Stiltz rails.
- Additionally, dedicated electric and phone lines are installed as required by the Stiltz lift. The Stiltz floor lift is also finished at this stage. Please note that finish paint is typically not included in our standard construction package.
Stiltz Installation
- After construction is complete, the Stiltz installation is scheduled promptly, typically within 1-3 days. This ensures minimal disruption to the homeowner.
- The installation duration varies based on the model of the lift. A Stiltz Duo Alta typically takes 1-2 days, while the Stiltz Trio Alta requires 2-3 days. Our team of skilled technicians ensures a smooth and efficient installation process.
Final Payment and Demonstration
- Upon completion of the installation, the final payment is collected. At this point, the project is officially completed.
- To ensure the homeowner is comfortable with operating the new lift, a detailed demo of the Stiltz equipment is provided. The keys are then handed over, marking the end of the installation process.
Post-Installation Service
- Mobility123 remains the homeowner’s primary contact for any service or maintenance needs related to the Stiltz lift. Our dedicated service team is always ready to assist with any issues or concerns.
- Regular routine maintenance is recommended to ensure the longevity and safe operation of the lift. Mobility123 can schedule and perform these maintenance services as required.
Typical Project Duration
- On average, the entire process, from the initial home survey to the final installation and demonstration, typically takes 12-16 weeks. This timeline can vary based on specific circumstances such as permit approval times and the scope of construction work required.
